USAGKA Seminar 4 - Tampa Bay
Our last seminar of the year will be held December 6th at MacDill AFB. The plan is to workout and then have a holiday party right afterwards. Please plan to spend the whole day! Workout time is 11am to 2pm. 10th kyu's and kids may come to the party at 2pm. 9th kyu's and above should join the seminar at 11am. Give your vehicle tag number to Sensei or Sempai Dave. USAGKA Seminar 3 - Promotions
We held seminar 3 at the Palm Bay dojo on October 18, 2008. We reviewed Saifa with the Bo, Ju Kumite, and lot's of kyu techniques. Several Black Belts were tested for rank advancement. This was a very special seminar due to an extremely rare event! Three of our Black Belts were promoted to Nidan!! Congratulations to Bill, JR, and Sarah for their hard work, commitment to USA Goju and rank change to 2nd Dan!!

Our mission for the USA Goju Karate Do Association (USAGKA) is to provide quality training for anyone who is willing to work hard. USAGKA is committed to three important rules of the karate dojo as expressed by Grand Master Peter Urban. These rules are: 1. Everyone Works 2. Nothing is free 3. All start at the bottom.
For those who may not be familiar with our style, the term "Goju" in Japanese literally means Hard and Soft. Therefore our style includes both hard and soft techniques. For example, strikes and blocks include the closed fist and the open hand methods. However, Goju represents more than physical aspects such as the concept of opposites. If this has stimulated your curiosity then you should contact your local Goju karate dojo. Check out the links page for more information.
If you are in our area then feel welcome to visit one of our
dojo's. We have schools in Palm Bay, Riverview, Gibsonton, and Wimauma
Florida.
If not, there may be similar schools in your area. Look for styles
such as: USA Goju, Okinawan Goju-ryu, or Japanese Goju-ryu.

Palm Bay kids class
The Palm Bay dojo has classes every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:25. This class is for kids ages 7-11.
Little Lions - little kids classes
The
Tampa area dojos have classes for kids ages 3 to 5.
