Our mission for the USA Goju Karate Do Association (USAGKA) is to provide quality training for anyone who is willing to work hard. USAGKA is committed to three important rules of the karate dojo as expressed by Grand Master Peter Urban.  These rules are: 1. Everyone Works  2. Nothing is free 3. All start at the bottom.

For those who may not be familiar with our style, the term "Goju" in Japanese literally means Hard and Soft. Therefore our style includes both hard and soft techniques. For example, strikes and blocks include the closed fist and the open hand methods.  However, Goju represents more than physical aspects such as the concept of opposites.  If this has stimulated your curiosity then you should contact your local Goju karate dojo. Check out the links page for more information.

If you are in our area then feel welcome to visit one of our dojo's. We have schools in Palm Bay, Riverview, Gibsonton, and Wimauma Florida. If not, there may be similar schools in your area. Look for styles such as:  USA Goju, Okinawan Goju-ryu, or Japanese Goju-ryu. Try one of the search engines on the web for more information.
